Happy New Year 2018

It's been awhile since we have done a blog post and that's due to the server not uploading photos correctly. We are working on that problem and hope to have it resolved soon.
In the meantime, remember the Razzle Dazzle Farm Rule:
1) No weeds allowed in our beautiful garden; unsolicited opinions are not welcomed.

Summer 2017

Summer 2017 has been extremely humid.
I am listening, hoping to hear the sounds of acorns thumping to the ground soon.
The acorns dropping are an indication that the humidity and season will soon change.

It's 2017!
I will update the blog more this year. At least that is the plan.
As far as farm goals this year, I hope to plant more flowers, veggies and add a medicinal herb garden.
Last week I planted more garlic, peas, turnip greens, arugula, cilantro, parsley and dill. I also cut back the blackberry vines that were ridiculous! Note to self *reserve more chickens from mypetchicken.com
Toodles for now, and Happy New Year

There is something very special about home grown food.
It tastes better and is healthier.

Iris Spring 2016

Bulbs don't need much light; they don't need good soil; and they don't need cosseting.
My mother in Michigan sent me Iris bulbs in fall of 2014.
The photo above is actually from March 23, 2015.
The iris bloomed completely this year on March 27, 2016.
